65 yrs old lady came with pain in her knee joint with difficulty in walking and pushing discharging wound over previously operated surgical scar site. She had underwent knee replacement surgery somewhere else 1 yr back since then she is having pain discomfort and purulent pus from operated site. She was taken to ot for wound cleaning at primary centre but infection didn’t settle. Thus she planned for stage 1 revision tkr with antibiotic coated cement mounds inserted to settle the infection. After 3 months once infection will settle she will be planned for definitive replacement surgery again. With these cement mounds she can walk with support.
