65 yrs old lady who underwent both knee joint replacement surgery 9 months ago at ESI Hospital 🏥 came to us with complaints of right sided knee pain swelling and difficulty in walking for the past 6 months. Xray showed some loosening of tibial component. Maveric MRI of her right knee showed infection loosening. Her infection markers showed slight raised in level. Thus she planned for two stage knee replacement surgery which is gold standard technique to control periprosthetic joint infection. In first stage we do meticulous debridement and antibiotics loaded cement spacer insertion with long term iv antibiotics. After settlement of her symptoms and improvements in blood tests we perform second stage hinge knee prosthesis replacement surgery. We routinely performed such complex joint revision surgeries at Sant Parmanand Hospital
